Why I built this

My mom is a substitute teacher in Fremont Unified School District. Watching her go through sub plans from different schools and different teachers, I noticed how much of the work repeated itself every time — the same classroom-routine boilerplate, the same typing it all out by hand, the same rush the night before to get everything ready for whoever's covering the class.

I built mysubstituteplan so that part is fast. Describe today's assignment and your routine — type it, paste it, upload a file, or just talk — and get back something ready to print. The goal isn't to replace the thought a teacher puts into their lesson; it's to take the busywork of formatting it off their plate.

This is still early, and I'm actively building and improving it. If you're a teacher who tries it, I'd genuinely like to hear what worked and what didn't.
